Springfield MA

Fairfield County got off easy, with nary a blast of thunder resounding from the radio forebodings ofa tornado watch which grumbled through the thick and humid air stagnating below an overcast, afternoon sky.
But Springfield, MA, suffered horrible damages Wednesday, with the city smashed and ravaged by winds from several twisters which have caused at least four deaths, according to an Associated Press report published on HuffPost/AOL News. The tornadoes touched down at about 4:20 p.m., causing about 26,000 people to go without power, according to the same Huffington Post article.
The New York Times reported that Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick declared a state of emergency earlier today, and that a minimum of two twisters had touched down and caused damage across 19 communities. As of late Wednesday evening, two deaths were recorded to be from Westfield, one from West Springfield, and another death from Brimfield, according to the Times.
The featured video, from YouTube (like all the rest) is a city-scape view of one of the tornaodes which touched down. The other next is purportedly a street view of a twister howling in the distance in Springfield, taken earlier on Wednesday. The third video is allegedly a moving-vehicle view of the deadly weather late this afternoon and/or early evening. The fourth YouTube video is a mid-level look at a churning sky resembling a mushroom cloud behind a "Farmers Market" sign in the forground.
