This handout picture released by Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities Monday, June 27, 2011, shows a detail of a limestone block discovered by French archaeologists, one of hundreds of 3,000-year-old colored and inscribed limestone blocks believed to have been used to build the sacred walls of a temple dedicated to the goddess Mut. Egypt's Minister of Antiquties, Zahi Hawass, says the blocks were unearthed in San El-Hagar in northern Egypt. San El-Hagar, which was known as Tanis during the Pharaonic era, is one of the oldest Egyptian cities and contains many temples belonging to the god Amun.
